It isnt often I part with 5 stars, however, this was 2nd to none in terms of food quality and service. The menu is fantastic - for me, quality restaurants have a small menu, like The Provenance. The Venison was delightful, the vegetarian option was just as good, tasty, wonderful food. Thanks. Go to this wonderful place!

Fantastic venue and amazing staff. We recently had the pleasure at playing at one the "Kitchen Disco" events and wow ! What a night. Such a good atmosphere and the food was to die for. Playing a 100's of venues every year, we have mixed experiences at other venues, but the staff at Provenence were welcoming and extremely helpful from the outset and couldn't do enough to put on a great event. Can't wait to come back.

This is a gem of a place. Have eaten there a number of times and it's consistently excellent. The food is lovely, with a really nice range and always excellently presented. Wine and drinks are perfectly curated, and the service is non pretentious, friendly and very competent. For any foodies looking for something different, a little out of the way for a family get together or a romantic date night I'd higly recommend. Love it.

I visited 2 years before and impressed the food, so I visited it again last week. It was quite disappointing that the two dish of fish were very very salty, it seems the chef overdosed the fish, the sea bream was the most expensive one but the worst of our dishes. I think it was unacceptable .
Appreciated the service and the atmosphere of the restaurant.

I went to "Kitchen Disco" on Thursday night at the Provenance with some girl friends. The food was exquisite! I had the chargrilled cornish mackerel with celeriac and butter beans, which was delicious and imaginative, herby, garlicky, full of flavour and textures. I ordered a side of potatoes which turned out to be completely unnecessary as the portions are generous - but they were so perfect that I had to eat some anyway! (FYI One side was about 7 average-sized potatoes) The bar staff, welcoming staff and chefs were all cheery and friendly as well as knowledgeable and efficient. The live band singing club classics made for a brilliant night all round. Lots of glitter and sequins on show, and full of groups out to have a laugh on a Thursday night. Will definitely come again!

Where can we begin?!
We decided to get married very last minute and after a working lunch at Provenance and a few spontaneous ideas - it was decided, this was our venue.
We worked with Steph, who was absolutely incredible at helping our vision come to life. Food was the priority for us, and we knew that Provenance would deliver. We got married in June, and it was lovely to have both inside and outside options available to us. We decided to marry outside under the stretch tent.
Once we had agreed our date, we were invited to a tasting to try out the sample menu. This was an incredible opportunity to experience the food and wine, and it was so delicious! Also, gave me an opportunity to try things I might never have selected (and ended up choosing instead)!
For the day, everything was set up for us, including the table layout (name places set), flowers (arranged by florist), drinks waiting for after the reception and background music (along with aisle song) all arranged for us.
We had the tent arranged for our guests in benches, and a floral arrangements at the end for decoration, this worked really well. We stuck outside (lucky with the weather) for post wedding drinks, and this made a great background for photos afterwards. There was also the little cocktail truck there for pre drinks for early guests or those wanting something else to drink.
This is where the canapes came out and was one of the highlights for us. Seeing the guests delight over the size and quality of these was so lovely. We were weirdly excited about watching everyone's face to see their reaction!
After this, we moved into the main restaurant (by the kitchen), where we had 3 long tables decorated with flowers and candles. There we had our 3 courses of absolutely incredible food.
We had speeches in this area (while the band set up), we then moved to the next section for dancing. They opened up the doors across the restaurant so people we inside and outside and it was such a lovely open atmosphere.
Whilst we were dancing, the chefs started on the flatbreads for the evening food, which turned out to be the talking point to this day. Often I will still get messages from friends like "do you remember the flatbreads at your wedding?!". Such a huge hit. I think people were just surprised by the entire selection of food being so high quality, tasty and ideal portion sizes (rather than generic small portioned wedding venue food).
We left the venue around 11-12pm after the most fantastic day.
We couldn't recommend Provenance enough for your special day and a huge thank you from us, Mr & Mrs Witt. You made our day perfect. THANK YOU! Can't wait to return for some Christmas celebrations! Xxx

What can we say about Provenance?
Somehow Provenance made us feel as though our wedding day was as important for them as it was for us. The events organiser Steph made everything so easy, with genuine care and attention to detail. Nothing was too much trouble and communication between us and them in the lead up to our day was exemplary.
The food was freshly cooked on wood, this was not a production line. It seems like magic, how they prepared genuinely amazing food, outside for 100+ people. It was presented beautifully too. We have both worked in the events sector and know how hard it is to get consistency when catering for large numbers, Provenance absolutely nailed it.
We booked Provenance to host our wedding as we knew the restaurant pre our engagement and loved the food. They put as much love and precision into events in the Orchard Barn area as they do into their main restaurant operation.
Best day of our lives, thank you so much.

We chose Provenance for our reception after being married locally that afternoon. We had Prosecco on arrival outside in the sunshine and then made our way in for the meal. The room looked stunning and the food was fantastic. The chatting and laughter from tables made for a wonderful atmosphere and the space was perfect for speeches and emails. The staff were amazing, every interaction was so positive and they could not have been more helpful in the organising and on the evening. Thank you for making our special day so very special.

Excellent food, good quality and fresh ingredients. The slow cooked leek was particularly delicious, as well as the lemon tart.
Only downside is that it’s a bit noisy but not much can be done about that.

We had had our wedding party at the Provenance Kitchen Orchard Barn in September. We had the most incredible time, and the team went all out to deliver a wonderful day for us. We had about 85 guests and the food was absolutely outstanding - eating at the long table in the orchard was truly magical. Guests are still raving about it to us now. The commitment to their client is second to none with brilliant attention to detail and a super professional set up to make sure everything runs as it should. Thank you so much Provenance Kitchen, and to Steph in particular. We feel like we are part of the Provenance Kitchen family now and we can't wait to come back for a meal soon! Leo & George.

I had a fantastic experience at the Provenance Kitchen Brix and Mortar restaurant. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was inviting and warm.
I started with the steak tartare, which was delightful—far better than some I’ve had recently. It was served with an oyster mayo which paired amazingly. For my main course, I enjoyed the pork chop, which was perfectly cooked and served with a harissa sauce, fresh herb paste, and a roasted herbs to garnish. I highly recommend getting a side of chips with it if you have a hearty appetite like mine.
To finish, I had the berry tart, which was absolutely delicious. Both my brother and I loved it, and I’d definitely recommend it.
Overall, I would certainly recommend Provenance Kitchen to friends and will likely return myself.

Easily 5/5. Outstanding food and service. 3 of us had sunday roast with beef, pork and sea bream - all delicious. Cauliflower cheese was also really tasty. Everything was spot on, couldn't fault it. Sticky toffee pudding was awesome. Would highly recommend!

Delicious midweek lunch!
Lovely waiting staff too. Such a shame that you can't tip on card, I hope management sort that out - many people rarely carry cash, the staff must miss out and deserve better.

We walked in and when we didn't have a reservation, they seemed concerned about finding us a table even though there were only 6 cars in the lot and almost the whole restaurant was empty. The tables were very sticky and the staff kept asking if we wanted drinks after we told them only tap water. The meals were tasty, but don't include any veggies or sides so the sandwich is just a sandwich on a small plate for £18 which is very overpriced. The taste was good, nothing to write home about.

Fantastic Sunday roast dinner with the family, I have to say it’s probably one of the best roasts I’ve ever eaten.
Everything was cooked to perfection and the dessert’s were delicious too….. the homemade ice cream is amazing.

Did not quite meet our high expectations. The beef and pork were excellent cooked over wood-fire flames. But why then cover the meat with a thick, clawing gluey jus - and the same one for both meats ?? What is wrong with serving traditional pork and beef gravies in jugs and letting the customer take what they want? Service was very friendly but haphazard, and erratic.
